Long Weekend

I am at the tail end of the Easter long weekend.
Planning on a day at home catching up on domestics after a really busy few weeks.

I took the "Red Shed " on the road last weekend and travelled out to Dubbo to participate in "Craft Alive".
A really positive experience.....I met lots of lovely people.....and caught up with some people from home....I grew up in the region......even chatting to one of my old school teachers. LONG drive though with the station wagon bursting at the seams with backing fabrics, wadding etc.

Miss Beth plays flute in a local band...the Wallarah Community Band.....and this Easter weekend we travelled to Sydney in the pouring rain to participate in the National Band Competition.....our band was in D grade.......so proud.....the band WON!!! they played beautifully....here they are at the start of the performance....

I am a sponsor for the Quilters Guild of NSW Inc. show for the first time......17th -21st June....anyone have a quilt in the show?

Anyway.....much catching up to do......and sun is finally out.....might get some washing dry...

Two Trips to Sydney.

Two trips to Sydney this week.
The first was to attend a workshop on " judging art quilts". Held at the Quilters Guild of NSW Inc. head office.
Really interesting morning.

The second was to attend Friday Showcase at the Quilters Guild of NSW with the guest presenter this month being ME!!! Two heavy suitcases on the train full of my quilts and lots of nerves.....it was over quickly.....I think I spoke too fast....but not as bad as I thought it would be.

The raffle quilt below was returned to its owner this week. It will be raffled for "Relay for Life" team Bec and Bob. I have tickets for sale in the shed. A lovely fresh quilt. Quilted with Lorien Quilting's "Rustling Leaves".

A little "Yin and Yang" went on this quilt....

Off to watch Mr J in a couple of trial footy matches today....then some sewing in the pm hopefully.

New Website and....

Happy New Year.....

My new website is up and running.....still a few things to tweek ....and add....

www.redshedquilting.net

and that will all come with time.

I am still on "holidays"......and have managed to read a few books and go to the beach with the kids a few times.....BUT I must admit I have been a bit distracted by the new addition to Red Shed Quilting.

I am now stocking the "HQ Sweet 16" sit down longarm quilting machine.Great specials to be had till the end of January.....take a look at the Red Shed Quilting's website for further details.

Sales and tuition available......so I have been playing with that and getting class samples designed and stitched out.
Classes are up on the new website....with samples to follow as completed.

Miss Beth playing with the new "toy".

This year is jam packed full of new ventures as well as quilting for clients. I cant wait to get amongst  it all.
Keen to get back into it. For the next two weeks I will be working half days in the shed (see website for times) and back to work properly on the 27th January.

Enjoy
