Ticked 'Tropfest' off my bucket list last night. I have always wanted to go, so we made the trip down to Parramatta on the train and spent the evening watching 16 amazing short films.....all so incredibly good. Will go again next year.
Hand guided quilting machine. Only used for demonstrations in shop. Minimal use, beautiful condition. Currently on a 5ft. demonstration table which can be used in the same way as a 'Simply Sixteen'.....quilting in sections on a smaller frame OR you can add a 12ft table to machine. Table extra.
Comes with bobbin winder, bobbins, threads, a pantograph pattern,lessons.....
Along time between post. Have just been so busy. A huge highlight has been being one of the judges for the Sydney Quilt Show. A wonderful experience.....and spending a few days at the show with Mum and Miss Beth.
Here I am in front of my quilt,hung in the area reserved for the judges quilts. A project a long time in the making. It gave me a reason to finish it.
Trying to get back to a normal routine now that school hols are over. Way behind!!!
Back from National Band Championships in Tasmania over the school holidays. Wallarah Community Band competed in 'C' grade and we came 2nd!!!!
This week was a short work week with Anzac Day on Tuesday. The band played at the dawn service and the 10.30 service. Wonderful to participate in with the band.Very special.

Yesterday we had our once a term 'Quilt in a Day'. Therese chose the pattern this time. Enjoyed the day. Tumbling blocks....our venue is 'Set on Sewing and Craft' in Toukley. Lovely shop and owner Angela.
Last night Wallarah Community Band played at the beautiful Anglican Church in Mann St Gosford. A stunning venue. Central Coast Brass played their 'Nationals' pieces as did Wallarah Community Band. A great night....fabulous music.Next week we will be in Tasmania competing in the 'C' grade at nationals. Wish us luck!!!!
We had a lovely Saturday morning of sewing at Ange's new shop 'Set on Sewing and Craft' in Toukley. We have a beginner patchworker who is doing well with a pieced star block.

Settling back into the groove of working from home. Finished a small custom this week along with a couple of E-2-E's. Now is a good time to get an edge -to - edge done....fairly quick turn around.
The Saturday Sewing group has had two lovely Saturday's (2nd and fourth Sat. of month) at 'Set on Sewing and Craft' in Toukley. A great venue ....thanks Ange....and great that we can keep the group together and possibly add new members.
I will still be stocking wide backing fabric and wadding. Some lovely new backings came in this week. I will add a page to this blogspot shortly to show the backings that I have and prices.
It has been incredibly hot here.....a really hot summer. Can't wait for autumn.
Housework followed by clarinet lesson today....stay cool
I am taking a break at the end of this week and will be using the time to relocate Red Shed Quilting back to the shed at the end of my driveway. Everything will remain the same.....location just changes.
