Quilting class

A quilting class at Red Shed Quilting yesterday.....we were expanding our 'background fill' options....and looking at designs to fill spaces and shapes. 3 ladies on domestic machines and 1 on the  Sweet 16.

Above Anne stitched out a filler design called living feathers shared by Leah Day on the 'Free-motion quilting project'....love how that looks.

Therese's efforts on the Sweet 16 mastering a feather/scroll background fill.....loved that too!

A full on, fun day.

Some Christmas decorations have been dusted off......may just be getting my mojo back....been missing for a while.

Planning to ignore the housework today....

HQ Avante Set up Day

The HQ Avante has arrived and I am planning to spend my Sunday reorganising the downstairs section of Red Shed Quilting......it will change from a cuppatea/sewing space to a demonstation/teaching space for the "Sweet 16" and the "HQ Avante 18".

Classes will be upstairs from now on....we have installed a chair lift so it is easier to get our machines up stairs....

If you own a "Sweet 16" or a "HQ Avante 18" you may be interested in two classes coming up.....details on the website www.redshedquilting.com.au ........would love to see you there.

New quilt labels have arrived....

Finished a custom using Keryn Emmerson's "Perry" block......loved the outcome.......

Another cuppa....then shower and get on with the day...

Quilting Patterns

A delivery from Lorien Quilting from her 'Short and Sweet ' range.....only 5" high ......will be running some Edge-to-edge classes on the domestic machines and on the sweet 16......stayed tuned...

This beauty went home to its owner..........another custom quilt bites the dust.....

Road testing a marking pencil that one of the stall holders at "Craft Alive" in Dubbo was using.....supposed to come off with water......I am marking up a 'Walking foot wholecloth' designed by ME......will let you know the outcome when stitching is complete and quilt has been washed.

I am off to do an in-house service on a sweet 16 today.....then plan to have the afternoon off.

Sun is peeping thru'.....enjoy.
