Yesterday was our 'Quilt in a Day' day......this time around we were quilting as you go....great day. Thanks to all those attending for making it such a great day....

The Art House Concert

We made the local paper.....and today is the day......Wallarah Community Band are playing at the Art House Wyong at 1pm today.....

Friday Showcase at QuiltNSW this week we had the pleasure of Megan Manwaring  as guest presenter.......wowwwww such an inspiration....huge body of work.....bright, fresh, crisp...would love to do a class with her.

Day Off

A day off today.....Newcastle Stitches and Craft show went well last weekend and I'm now looking forward to some normal weekends with just class on Sat. mornings.

Lots to catch up on around the house.

Sunday at the Craft show was a bit slow so got lots done on our next Quilt-in-a-day project....

Finished a custom.......lots of freehand...

My daughter plays in Wallarah Community Band....and they competed in the State Band Championships last weekend and WON!!!!!! First place in C grade....well done.

Newcastle Stitches and Craft Show

Getting ready for Saturday at the Newcastle Stitches and Craft Show. Have had a great 2 days so far. Met lots of lovely people. I am on stand B23 with lots of specials on wadding and wide backing fabrics.

Late last month I taught a quilting class at Material Obsession......a wonderful shop and a great bunch of keen quilters.

A Rug Braiding workshop was held here at Red Shed Quilting with Barb Travis as Tutor.....loved it...

Miss Beth and I travelled down to Sydney last weekend to see the Frida Khalo exhibition and the Archibald Prize.......a great day out where we also took our cameras and took lots of stills and some movie footage....we both want to learn to edit film....

And of course I have been quilting......

Sydney Quilt Show Judging Day

Yesterday the Sydney Quilt Show Judging Day took place. Many volunteer hands on deck to help  get through the huge volume of quilts.

A long day....left the coast at 6am and returned at 7.30pm.

Show starts at Glebe Island next Wed. through to Sun. with the awards ceremony at 1pm this year.

We were really well looked after on the day by Salley and Robin, lots of yummy morning tea and lunch.

Still Quilting Away.

Still quilting away....but life here is really hectic with lots of things creeping in to suck up any free time I may have. Once the Sydney Quilt show is over I will be letting a few things go as its too much to juggle and stay sane at the moment. I just want to simplify it all and just QUILT!
