Cessnock Quilt Show

Heading out to Cessnock this morning to take a look at their quilt show....a treat after another busy short week.

Finished an 83 sq. ft. custom that was mostly stitch in the ditch.....a back breaker....but love the result.

Created by Jackie Leybourne, the owner of Blueberries Patchwork Shop at North Wyong
ph 02 43554400
Jackie has recreated a quilt known as the "Ann Randoll Coverlett" (c. 1830?)......working out the block and border sizes etc., basically replanning the entire quilt. Beautifully pieced, it contains hand and machine piecing....lots of clam shells. A joy to work on.
Jackie is offering this quilt as a block of the month, over 8 months, either pattern only or pattern and fabric.

...the back....

Dawn Service Anzac Day........Miss Beth playing with the Wallarah Community Band......lucky the rain held off......
Have a lovely week.
