Home From Adelaide

This is the view from our room, which was just across the road from the Convention Centre where all the classes for the Australian Machine Quilting Festival were held.
Leanne, Clare and I flew down on Thursday and came home Tuesday....a fair amount of time to spend away.....couldn't have done it with two better roomies!

The first day was spent being entertained by Ricky Tims...an incredibly creative man...

For a while we didn't see much of Adelaide except for the inside of the Convention Centre...especially Leanne...who pretty much did classes back to back.

The classes I got the most out of would have to have been Megan Best...an American tutor...lots of background fills...

A class with Myrna .. dividing spaces up into quiltable sections....
Lots of drawing....I can see a wholecloth in this...

and on the last day a wholecloth design class with aussie Michele Turner......best class EVER!!!!

The centre of Michele's beautiful wholecloth...

On the last day I got a bit of free time...... so went for a wander... lots of  churches....these two were really close to where we stayed..

I enjoyed the LONG weekend and loved catching up with people I don't see very often......It was great to meet fellow blogger Judy, if only briefly.....and great to meet some new friends.

Catch up time now....
Have a great week
