The First "Our Community of Sewing" day....

Yesterday I attended the first"Our Community of Sewing" day....an event organised with 3 local shops collaborating to raise money for charity....and also to enjoy each others company and have fun sewing all day. Blueberries, All About Sewing and Red Shed Quilting, with the wonderfully organised Lyn Colley were the organisers.

We held the event at the Lakes Grammar School Hall...a wonderful light filled venue with around 57 sewers attending. Lots of food, raffles silent auction and sewing...

Can't wait for the next one....May next year....we are lining up 2 tutors for the event.

Favourite finishes for this week...

A quilting design by Vickie Maleski...loved it ....perfect on this quilt....

Lorien Quilting's "Interlocking Feathers" on this one....

Working on some unusual shapes that need filling on this quilt....think I'm happy now...a few trial and errors...

Working in the shed today as I was at the sewing event all day yesterday......need to get ready for Pam Furniss's first class at the 'Shed' tomorrow....
Enjoy your Sunday
